It's also helping you "enjoy every sandwich". Singer songwriter Warren Zevon said those words on The Late Show with David Letterman as he was dying of cancer. I watched that interview live as a child in my parents basement and I didn't know at the time what a profound impact it would later have on my life.
While Zevon's body was riddled with cancer Letterman asked him what if anything was different now that he knew he had a few months left to live. Zevon paused, smiled and said:
You put more value on every minute. You're reminded to enjoy every sandwich and every minute.

A few years ago I realized that I had programmed myself with self-doubt, self-loathing, and a giant fear of money.
